They also operate the Old Daufuskie Crab Company and the Freeport General Store.

Dolphin Watch aboard the Sepalo Queen

Climb aboard the “Sapelo Queen,” the company’s classic ferry boat, for a delightful fully-narrated dolphin and nature tour.

Your journey begins at Broad Creek Marina and takes you along Broad Creek to the Calibogue Sound over to Daufuskie Island’s Freeport Marina. Along the way, you will have a chance to spot Atlantic Bottle-nose Dolphin and other wildlife native to the area. Snacks and drinks are available onboard at an additional cost. This dolphin watch tour last approximately 2 hours round trip. Reservations are required.

Once you arrive at Freeport Marina, you can choose to stay onboard for a pleasant return trip to Broad Creek Marina, or depart onto Daufuskie Island for an afternoon of exploration, dining at the Old Daufuskie Crab Company, and shopping at the Freeport General Store or at one of the quaint Daufuskie Island art galleries.

Tour schedules and rates are seasonal.

On-Island Offerings:

Golf Cart Rentals

Calibogue Cruises offers various adventures for the entire family. You may want to choose to hop aboard a 4- or 6-passenger yellow golf cart for your own self-guided exploration of Daufuskie Island’s historic district, beautiful isolated beaches, and its numerous unique art galleries. The company will provide you with a detailed map.

Guided History Tour

Another great tour is the guided history tour aboard a painted school bus. A knowledgeable local guide will delight you with fascinating stories of Daufuskie’s past and provide the latest news on modern day Island events. Along this 2 hour tour, you will visit over a dozen historic points as you step back in time and learn about Daufuskie life during wartime and the culture of Gullah. This guided tour is not recommended for children under 12 years old.

Make sure you ask about any special guided tour offerings, such as the Tour with the Author, guided by Roger Pinckney (includes a book signing).
